Hatchet is my cat. She was one of the many feral-born kittens that I've domesticated and was meant to be put up for adoption. She decided that I was her human and there was nothing I could do to persuade her to be friendly toward anyone else. So she's been with me ever since.
She was never meant to keep the name... I just name the feral kittens with whatever pops into mind when I see them just to distinguish them in conversation. Hatchet was named because her facial mark reminded me of a hatchet scar.
